  • Dublin, September 14-18, 2019. Official visit of Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo to Ireland, which was the first visit of a Colombian Foreign Minister to this country in the history of the bilateral relationship. During this visit he held a meeting with the President of Ireland, with the Chair of the Oireachtas, with members of the Committee on International Relations of Parliament, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney in the framework of the first meeting of the Political Consultation Mechanism. He did a presentation on the policy of “ Peace with Legality ”in the Think Tank,  Institute of International and European Affairs. A business breakfast was also held with a large group of CEOs and representatives of Irish investment companies, among other events.
  • Dublin September 13, 2019. Visit of the Presidential Counselor  for Stabilization and Consolidation, Emilio Archila during which he presented the progress of the Peace policy with legality in meetings with the President of Ireland, the Secretary General of the Prime Minister, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the Committee on Foreign Relations of Parliament and media such as the Irish Times and the Journal.ie, among other meetings.
  • April 29, 2019. Dublin. Meeting of the Colombian Ambassador, Patricia Cortés Ortiz with the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins during the presentation of credentials as the first Resident Ambassador in that country
  • March17-19, 2019. Bogota. Working meeting between Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Holmes Trujillo and the Minister of State for Commerce, Business and Digital Entrepreneurship of Ireland, Pat Breen, who visited Colombia in the framework of the celebration of St. Patrick´s Day in Colombia.
  • February 21, 2019. Greeting and meeting of President Iván Duque to the first resident ambassador of Ireland in Colombia, Alison Milton, during her presentation of credentials.
  • September 24, 2018. New York meeting between the President of the Republic, Iván Duque Márquez and the Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar in the framework of the United Nations General Assembly.

  • August 8, 2018. Bogota. Meeting of the Minister of State John Halligan, who attended as the representative of Ireland to the Inauguration of President Iván Duque, with Foreign Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo and the Minister of commerce of Colombia.• April 24, 2018. New York. Within the framework of the United Nations High Level Meeting on Construction and Peacekeeping, President Juan Manuel Santos held a bilateral meeting with the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins.
  • September 18, 2017. New York. Bilateral Meeting, in the framework of the General Assembly of the United Nations, between Foreign Minister María Angela Holguín and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, Simon Coveney.
  • February 11-15, 2017. Official Visit to Colombia of the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, within which a working lunch and an extended working meeting between the Presidents of Colombia and Ireland were held. Likewise, two memorandums of understanding were signed by which a mechanism for political consultations was established and culture and sport were promoted, respectively.
  • June 17-18, 2015. Visit to Dublin of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Patti Londoño Jaramillo and the concurrent Colombian Ambassador to Ireland, Néstor Osorio Londoño, with the purpose of strengthening diplomatic and commercial relations between the two countries and expand the issues of the bilateral agenda.
