Conscious eating and wellbeing masterclass with Colombian coachef Paula Silva
Dublin (November 10/2021). Within the framework of the Plan to Promote Colombia Abroad, the Embassy of Colombia to Ireland and the School of Culinary Arts of the Technological University of Dublin organised a masterclass about conscious eating and wellbeing for master students in TU Dublin. The event was presented by Colombian Ambassador Patricia Cortés and every attendee receive a sample of the three main ingredients in the recipe.
Colombian coachef spoke of conscious eating, about the properties of cocoa, heart of palm and coffee, three of the main ingredients in the recipe proposed to thread the masterclass. Silva joined the virtual class from Santa Marta in Colombia. She also addressed how the three crops at the centre of her recipe are not only rich in nutrients but are allowing for social change in Colombia.
Paula Silva was part of the Caelis Restaurant team in Barcelona when they obtained their 1st Michelin star. She became chef in Khemia, the first restaurant she opened, which was considered as a pioneer of molecular cuisine in Colombia. She has taught in almost every gastronomy school in Bogotá. In recent years, she has worked as a menu creator and gastronomic consultant while continuing with her 8-year-old catering company.
The Plan for the Promotion of Colombia Abroad is a tool of cultural diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, whose objective is to support the achievement of the foreign policy objectives of the Colombian State.
