Colombia hosted the 16th Pacific Alliance Summit in Bahía Málaga, Buenaventura, and Ireland was accepted as an Observer State to the PA

During the Summit, Colombia presented a report of the outcomes of the PA (integrated regional mechanism made up of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) under its pro-tempore presidency in 2021. Among the advances are the integration of the stock markets of Peru, Colombia and Chile; regulatory harmonization of medical supplies; a migratory platform, single window system for investment; customs agreements; Singapore was welcome as first Associate-Member of the Alliance after the signing of an FTA; Ireland was accepted as an Observer State; and the mechanism promoted Joint Declarations with the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the OECD, as well as the Work Plan with ASEAN. Colombia delivered its "Model for strengthening the gender approach in public procurement policies and processes", to highlight the importance of economic empowerment of women as a drive on economic development.

The UNSC reaffirms its support to the implementation of the Peace Agreement in Colombia

In the quarterly session of the Security Council on Colombia, Presidential Counsellor for Stabilization and Consolidation, Emilio Archila, summarised the advances made by President Iván Duque's Peace with Legality policy in the implementation of peace. The Presidential Counsellor mentioned "with our achievements we continue to show the world that conflicts and violence can be resolved with political decisions, strong planning and focus on results”. Colombia delivered a document to the members of the Security Council with the advances and actions carried out by the Government in the first 5 years, of the 15 years planned for implementation, in an effort to "resolve the structural difficulties that we should have confronted for decades, with or without Agreement” as highlighted by Counsellor Archila.
