The OECD projected Colombia's economic growth in 2021 will be 9.5%

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) highlighted Colombia's economic performance, and projected that GDP growth will be 9.5% this year and 5.5% in 2022. In its recent economic outlook report, the organization also indicated that Colombia will be among the world's countries with a higher growth this year, and identified private consumption, the distribution of vaccines and the strength of raw material prices as the main drivers of this performance.

We invite you to celebrate Christmas with the colours of Colombian traditional crafts

With a call to position Colombian crafts at the highest level of intellectual property, and consider artisans as small exporters, President Iván Duque opened on 7th December the thirty-first Expoartesanias fair, which, in person, expects more than 60,000 visitors in 2021. "We have to position craftsmanship at the highest level of intellectual property, because they are hours of talent.” mentioned President Duque in its opening speech.

This year, the Embassy of Colombia in Ireland paid homage to wood and tamo, one of Colombia's craft in the form of Christmas cards. At the start of December, we also held a special screening of Disney's Encanto with over 150 guests, a celebration of these colourful crafts, gastronomy and Colombian charm still available in cinemas!
