Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs announced the pacifist, participatory, and intersectional Feminist Foreign Policy of Colombia
On 3rd November, Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs of Colombia, Laura Gil, announced a series of sectoral dialogues with which a Colombian Feminist Foreign Policy will be jointly built, and which guidelines will be included in the National Development Plan. “This government is a government of rights, and that is how we want to project ourselves in the world, as a government of peace, a government of democracy. And that is why there is a Feminist Foreign Policy, which will be a foreign policy for men and women, will put on the table the promotion of the rights of women, girls, and diverse people” assured Vice Minister Gil.
The Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs referred to the pillars on which this feminist foreign policy is being built. “One, pacifist, pacifist in line with the fundamental policy of the national government, Total Peace. Two participatory, creating dialogue scenarios not only here [in Colombia] but also in bilateral and multilateral settings. And three, and this is essential for us, not only inclusive, but intersectional”. Read more.
